Hey guys i've recently got a dash cam and would like to wire it in without taking up the Aux power slot. I would wire it in directly to the Aux power however this outlet is always on. I'm after somewhere where the cam is only going to be on with the vehicle. Any ideas?
Thanks, Luke |

I am about to do a replacement mirror dash cam. I wire them into an accessory circuit from the interior fuse box.
Ill post up pics when I am finished.

At the moment I'm looking at the jumper lead that enables you to add another fuse to a current source. Then you plug it into your cigarette power socket side, removing the old fuse to break the always on connection. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261520663...4.m1423.l2649H Basically you put this lead on the side of a fuse that goes dead when you turn off the ignition. So unlike the current setup, your cigarette power plug will turn off. |

I use heaps of these with front sensors of which I am also fitting shortly.
It enables no modification to the factory wire looms so when a dealer tries to blame a fault on me I just pull the second fuse to my product to prove my system is not the cause. I will get cracking on this thing soon, just have to find some time :/
