Question Steering shudder in ed falcon

Has anyone experienced a shudder sensation in the steering of 1994 ED Falcon? It happens intermittently and only when on half to full lock (as in parking). It has been there since new and I was told by Ford Service bods that it was the pipes in the power steering setup??? It doesn't affect the steering department but is rather annoying and probably fatal if I decide to sell the vehicle. Any ideas?

What's this post doing in the ASL area ?

Anyway, yes Graham I know what your refering to. My ED suffered from the occasion attack of the steering shudders also, but usually only as you describe when manouvering in tight spaces. Try to never turn the wheel with the car stationary, always have some forward or rearward motion as well, this should just about eliminate it and be kinder on your tyres too.

I don't know of a fix and neither did my service guys. Just make sure there are no leaks and keep the reservior topped up, this all helped.
