I was sitting on the throne Thursday morning and heard this thud and then clumps of dust falling from my Tastic thinking WTF?
Anyways could see the face plate come lose a bit and thought no worries just clip it back on when I get home after work. I get home and think I'l just clip it back on except you cant. So then I think I will cleanup all the crap in there. Well was quite surprise just how much there was, shit everywhere in my ensuite. I look into the vent and was like what is that big blocker there. I poke it thinking it was just clumps of of dust but no some dumbarse has covered part of the vent with insulation and the fan is rubbing on it and carving it off The mystery was solved though because there was just some spring hanging randomly and by looking at the face plate the hook gave way causing the issue in the first place |

Selling off lots of parts I've been hanging onto for too long.
Have a brand new in the box Ford set of rear mud flaps for XA XB XC. Scored them when the FIL died 20 years ago, he had an XB. So they bring about $300 or more so time to sell. Open up to take pictures, spot the problem, could be on The 1% Club. So is this like stamps or coins, worth more because of the mistake? I wish

Bingo.
They're both right hand side flaps. What a PITA, could have got some good coin there.

Paying good money for a supposedly premium products but getting cheap garbage in return.
Noise cancelling headphones, a great way for me shut out and escape from the world while detailing or messing around in the garage. Twice now I have sidestepped the cheap stuff, thinking paying the extra would land me with a quality product. The first being a set of Sennheiser SPXC 550-II. When they worked, they were very nice, comfortable. But they began cycling on and off if, you know, moved you head at all. The magnet-controlled power up/down switch not sufficiently strong enough to stay in the on position. Completely useless within a very unreasonable period of time. Total garbage. The second I bought to replace the Sennheisers, the Sony WH-1000xm4. Initially, they were fantastic, even more comfortable. But the stupid touch pads were schizophrenic, so you would end up turning certain functions on and off accidentally, then have to go and figure out how to reset them. The "speak to talk" function a completely useless thing that would activate by ambient noise like, say, a pressure washer. Now they refuse to charge, even after attempting the hack fixes found online. Complete junk after only a couple of years. Again, bought at considerable expense. Makes me so friggen mad, you pay a premium and get nothing in return. And yet, we keeping buying this sh.t and therefore keep these companies alive, who then keep selling cheap, nasty Chinese crap at premium prices. So, Sony and Sennheiser can go and get fu.ked.

It’s not quite a recent thing, noticed for the last 5-10 years hardware items labelled as galvanised, stainless etc rust within 5 mins of install. Door locks fail within 12 months so you step up from a $20 one to a $40 one thinking it will be better, but the inner workings are the same 3 cent part across the range, bunnos must make a killing on all this rubbish.

I just wanna say...
My definition of expensive is paying x amount of $$$ for something that didn't do what you paid X amount of $$$$ for it to do. Would you say a Rolls Royce is expensive? I say no, because it did, and will continue to do, exactly what you paid x amount of dollars for it to do. One Man

YouTube and Google’s flaky algorillarhythms. It thinks I own or maintain a swimming pool, and spams me with 90 second adverts for rubbish that’s wholly irrelevant.

One thing I noticed straightaway, these Air Pod Max are significantly heavier than the Sony and Sennheiser they replace, with the casing made of aluminum not plastic. Why Sky Blue? Well, other than I like blue, they were 21% cheaper than Space Grey or Silver. And if these don't go the distance, I'll shoot a video of me smashing them with a sledge axe. Question is, should I do that with the Sony's?

My dearest booked herself a seven week US holiday with one of the KGB girlfriends.
Assumed that she didn’t need a visa for the US, travelling on an Aussie passport (not Russian)!!! Moreover, this problem was not identified until just over two hours prior to departure. I’d dropped her off at the terminal and was 35km away… Already had a migraine from heat, exertion - stress didn’t help it ease. Literally about 50 minutes before take-off, the expedited application was greenlit (airline check-in counter helped as best they could, but weren’t going to board her in case it got declined at the other end). What a circus. |

You’ve needed ESTA’s for as long as I can recall landing in the USA CB.
The agent or booking office should have advised this in the first place. Easiest visa to get online. Yep it gets approved pretty quick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, I don’t know what she was thinking! One of her besties has PR there, maybe she thought that affected things.
Can laugh about it a little now. Last night when I was looking down the barrel of seven weeks’ relative calm torpedoed just like that - it wasn’t so funny. |

I thought our 2 governments just signed some agreement 2 weeks ago that didn't need us to get visas or something to make travel easier.
7 weeks of batching it, nice.

I got to try out the just-opened “Airport Link” pieces of road. After hours, they feel slow and empty; the limit is 60 but could easily go ten or twenty up.

Three weeks in and she’s cleaned out her holiday savings already. I pretty much expected this, so more a chuckle than a grumble at the requested topping-up.
If she smoked chop-chop rollies instead of legit tobacco, the initial nest egg would have been much fatter. |

... When you misjudge the gap between the truck and tree... on a rainy day, then waiting for the inevitable phone call from the "boss" after sending him this pic:
Bugga.. Oh well, on a positive note, I got to have a day off. Man, it was SOOO good to take a day. I have been pumping out 57 - 65 hour 5 days weeks lately. I was seriously tired. Hopefully it will be fixed by Monday. I'm in a much newer truck today, not sure I'm going to like it, but, hey, tis what it tis. Cheers guys, One Man

Man oh man. My kid texts me this arvo asking do i want to know his story of the day? I replied sure.
Well, not a good one. A kid at his school nicked a phone of another kid, (i did not tell my kid i know how to do this) did a factory reset and got busted trying to sell said stolen phone. Theif only copped a 3 day suspension. Rightful kid owner lost all their saved funny cat memes. So im preassuring my kid into backing his phone up. Not to his school laptop but his gaming tower. He lives in the housos of south windsor. Theft is quite a thing there. |

I spent the whole day in the yard weeding and mowing. I thought I would treat myself to a spa bath.
I filled it up and water was dirty as so no way I was going to dip in that but couldn't get the jets going. I loosed up the pipe to pump the air out but no good except water in the garage. What I eventually figured out it won't start with the heater on but the problem is it defaults to that so got to be quick to turn it off and she fires up. But the plumping is leaking and I'm like **** this and just had a shower. Geez I hate that! I think I need someone out to take a look at it and probably a new pump but $$$ so can go on the backlog. I have more important shit I have to sort out before that |
