Default another door lock saga

The doors on my 99 au sedan won't lock, the interior light and the door open warning indicator on the dash stay on even though all doors are shut. I am wondering if a door switch is at fault and this is not allowing the doors to be locked. The main problem is that the doors can't be locked manually, the drivers' door is the only one with a manual lock. Thanks for any help, Ivan

Hi Ivan,

there seem to be a few threads going at the moment about this subject, have a look through them and you should be able to pin it down.

Or do a search about doors not locking and it should bring you heaps of info.

cheers

hey guys thanks for your help, solved the problem and yes i did spend hours looking through previous threads and nothing was similar. The problem was down to the door lock not engaging enough when closed, but at the same time secured but not fully closed. Adjusting the door latch a bit fixed the problem. Thanks, Ivan .
